Clarissa + Chad | Galway Downs Wedding in Temecula, CA
Clarissa and Chad’s wedding at Galway Downs in Temecula was an absolute fairy tale.
Clarissa had two very meaningful heirlooms in her wedding. One was her mother’s veil. Clarissa lost her mother when she was very young and was then raised by her single father. Her grandmother helped remove the rusty buildup (some older veils had wire to help them hold their shape and it had rusted over a few decades) but she managed to give the veil a 2nd life for Clarissa’s wedding and it just happened to match with her beautiful lace bodice dress PERFECTLY.
Several years ago, her father passed away after being hit while riding his motorcycle. At the time, he had been wearing his Saint Christopher pendant, who is the patron saint of travelers. Clarissa knew she wanted to incorporate the pendant into her wedding as well as the veil so both her parents’ memories could live on and experience her day in a special way.
On the morning of the wedding in Temecula she realized they had forgotten the pendant at home in San Diego and her sweet husband-to-be drove all the way home to get the pendant for her because he knew how meaningful it was!😭😭😭 Clarissa smiled as she told us the meaning behind each item and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room when she was done.
It was a bittersweet moment but Clarissa was so blessed to have her family that was there. Her cousins in her bridal party were attentive and her grandfather walked her down the aisle and they shared a sentimental grandfather/granddaughter first dance.
