A Quaint Solvang Wedding

Janelle and Daniel chose a quaint little Danish town to tie the knot. If you’ve never visited Solvang, California a great way to describe it is like being dropped straight into Beauty and the Beast and getting a first-hand look into Belle’s provincial life as she wanders around town signing to the sheep about Prince Charming. You can probably envision it. Built by a group of Danes who had wandered west hoping to escape the frigid winters of Midwest America, Solvang was founded in 1911 thanks to the Rancho San Carlos de Jonata Mexican land grant.

It now plays host to tourists from all around the world with historical architecture and traditional Danish food and souvenirs as well as welcoming in brides and grooms who are looking for a unique and memorable fairytale backdrop to exchange vows. Janelle and Daniel’s positivity was radiating off of them throughout the day and they made sure to enjoy every moment of their wedding day from the goofy gifts they shared before the ceremony to getting down on the dance floor at the end of the night.
