Elizabeth initially contacted me to try and set up a surprise couples session for Munn’s birthday but we had to reschedule a few times and by the time we met up, Munn was in on the surprise but even without the element of surprise the amount of enthusiasm they both brought to their Palos Verdes couples session can be felt through the photos.
They came to have a good time and a good time was had by all. I loved how playful and giggly they were throughout the shoot and was thrilled to capture their relationship authentically.
They also are a pretty bad@5$ power couple who support one another’s dreams and run a creative production company together while also working on their own impactful short films that they hope to share with the world regarding relationship challenges and stereotypes amongst the Black and Asian communities.
We also spent so much time talking that we ended up shooting through golden hour and into blue hour which is right around dusk. I normally wrap things up after sunset but felt creatively inspired to continue into the wee waning hours of light to capture the beach photos with blue and lavender hues seen in their gallery here. Check it out!
